A facility of excellence in the heart of the Descartes Campus, the future climate chamber Sense-City will allow a great many experiments in a climate-controlled environment. Work on the chamber began in early 2016 and delivery is planned for 2017. Sense-city is funded under the Future Investment Plan. Using realistic situations, it helps to explore the concept of the sensitive city, able to self-diagnose in real time to become more sober from the energy standpoint, environmentally cleaner, and safer in terms of sanitation.
On 11 April 2016 at Espace Bienvenües, the consortium invites you to the laying of the foundation stone of Sense-City. This event will be take place in two stages. First, the morning will be devoted to the presentation of scientific papers and a round table on the theme of connected cities. Then, the afternoon will give participants the opportunity to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony, visit the current mini-city and find out what the future climate chamber will be like. The day will conclude with a cocktail.
