Created in 1991, Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEM) is a multidisciplinary research institution with 17 units (including 4 CNRS mixed research units and 1 IFSTTAR mixed research unit). Partnership research is based on the clusters ADVANCITY, SYSTEM@TIC and CAP DIGITAL, together with Institut Carnot VITRES.
ESYCOM (EA2552), (Electronique, SYstèmes de COmmunications et Microsystèmes) is a multi-unit facility involving UPEM, ESIEE Paris and CNAM professor-researchers. The laboratory project entitled “Systèmes de communication et capteurs pour la ville, l'environnement et la personne” (Communication systems and sensors for cities, the environment and people) brings together communications system engineering, sensor and microsystem activities. ESYCOM is undergoing the CNRS UMR approval process in the 2015-2019 five-year contract.
